The designers on cardesign.ru have presented a series of renderings in the past. They have included the next generation Mazda3 and a rendition of the potential Renault Alpine. Now a designer on the Russian site has taken the bold step in creating a bunch of illustrations depicting what a Ferrari four-door supercar may look like. There is most likely very little chance that Ferrari would create a model like this, but with the Aston Martin Rapide and Porsche Panamera on the horizon plus the Lamborghini Estoque Concept making its debut in just a few days, the four-door supercar could be the latest trend for super car makers.

The Ferrari 599 has gone topless! The Barchetta version of the Prancing Horse’s range-topping Gran Turismo has been spied out testing, and is easily distinguished by its mock hard top, which doesn’t quite match the colour of the main bodywork. The less than snug fit of the rear windows also hints that the roof we see isn’t genuine.

A car widely renowned as the most beautiful of all time is also now officially the most expensive after a model sold for €20 million at an auction, German newspaper Bild reports.
Only 39 models of the legendary Ferrari 250 GTO model were ever built, from 1962 to 1964. While we knew Formula 1 racing was an expensive venture, leave it to the 2008/2009 edition of Formula Money to spell-out the jaw-dropping finances for us. According to their latest guide, the supporting cast will shell out over $3 billion this year in team resources — with Toyota dropping more than $445 million of it alone. McLaren is a close second at $433 million, while Ferrari rounds out the top three with $414 million coming out of pocket. If you take a look at team resources divided by points scored, each point cost Ferrari $1.9 million in 2007 (while each point cost Honda a staggering $57.2 million during the same period!). With the financial markets around the world roiled in turmoil, many are wondering when the F1 budgets are going to feel the pinch…

More than 2,000 special guests on both sides of the Atlantic witnessed the world premiere of the new Ferrari California. At the private airport of Santa Monica, where the US-American presentation was held, Ferrari actually auctioned off the first California for a whopping $520,000 with all proceeds going to charity. Such an event in California couldn’t be done without the presence of Conan the Governor aka Arnold Schwarzenegger and of course the usual celebrities including Brittny Gastineau, an actress and model we’ve never heard about but wouldn’t mind getting acquainted with.

Ferrari is either getting strategic or careless. The company usually keeps details about its upcoming models hush-hush until the vehicle is ready to make its debut, but lately Maranello seems to have more leaks than a pasta strainer. The latest is a screen-cap that seems to confirm the speculated 430 Scuderia Spider.
